Britton Hill, FL

So I start my quest to stand atop all 50 states with the lowest state high point of 345' in the panhandle of Florida. We drove up to the small road side park and got out of the car not sure if we were even in the right place but we noticed the granite block and walked over to it and sure enough we were on top of Florida. My buddy Rich and I agreed that it felt anti climatic as it didn't even look like the highest point. we spent an hour or so exploring the trails that lead off in the the woods behind the marker, keeping a weary eye out for the savage western Florida dairy cows that we could hear in the field next door. Luckily we did not come face to face with any cows but did have to doge some of their trail markers.
