In December of 2005 having just finished my quest to take a picture of all 50 state capitols I was looking for a new task to take on as I travel across the US. I had just gotten my last photo of a capitol in Florida and I knew (because my head is full of useless trivia) that the highest point in Florida was only a few hours away. So it has now become my new quest to stand at the highpoint of all 50 states. I will probably never finish this task as some of these are serious climbs particularly Denali in Alaska Mt Rainer in Washington, Hood in Oregon and Whitney in California. But many are walk up's and even drive up's.
