11-18-06 Dawn Patrol
| We got up waaaayyyy to early this morning to get in the water before the sun came up, we wanted to experience the "shift change" on the reef as all the night critters bed down for the day and the day critters wake up. The Parrot fish are particularly interesting to watch wake up |

In the upper center is a parrot fish tucked in to his sleeping place. in the evening they cover them selves with a layer of mucus that protects and some how hides them from predators while the sleep in nooks and crannies at night. if they are disturbed and they loose their protective covering they cannot make another that night and must swim all night. |
